When was OSWAHCR established?
Unsure, I have asked several people but do not have a firm date, somewhere in the early to mid-2000s would be my guess.
How many members does OSWAHCR currently have?
71 regular members, 11 institutional members
Can you share any best practices (how OSWAHCR achieved/continues to be a Gold chapter)?
We provide value for our members, we hold fi
ve (one hour) member meetings per year that will have speakers on a variety of topics, we also try to do social events (not during the pandemic) to allow our members to network. We hold one large all day conference in November. We will see 20-40 members attend our regular meetings/networking events and then 90 attend the all day conference. During 2020 and now into 2021 with the pandemic: we have continued to hold our regular meetings virtually. Our goal is to connect our members with each other and provide opportunities for continuing education. We did not hold Education Day in 2020 but plan to hold it in November, 2021.
What's the best part of OSWAHCR /what sets them apart from other chapters?
I think our members really set us apart, as our members are so willing to share their best practices with each other.
