NAHCR provides the opportunity to recognize individuals and chapters that portray outstanding service and achievement in the health care recruitment field. Cindy Fife Scholarship Award

The Cindy Fife Scholarship Award recognizes individuals who portray what attendance at the NAHCR Annual Conference will do to advance their career, as well as why they are employed in the health care recruitment field. Scholarship recipient will receive a complimentary hotel room and registration for the conference.

Nominees

  • Must have been in health care recruitment for less than five years and
  • Have never attended a NAHCR Annual Conference

Nomination Process:

  • Individuals may self-nominate or be nominated by another NAHCR Member.
  • Nominees must submit an essay not to exceed 1,200 words addressing (i) why they became health care recruiters or what they love about their positions, (ii) how attending the conference would help with their professional development as recruiters; and (iii) what they hope to gain by attending the conference.

NAHCR Media Award

The NAHCR Media Award recognizes individuals of the media who most positively portray to the general public contributions made by health care professionals.

Selection Process:
  1. Entries from the media may include but are not limited to: newspapers, magazines, or other written publications, photojournalism, radio, TV, videotapes, film presentations, slide/tape presentations, CDs, Internet, etc.
  2. Entries will be judged on content, plus potential for public education.
  3. Entry must have been written or developed by a member of the media.
Nomination Process:
  1. Entries must have aired or been published between January 1 and December 31 of the previous year. 
  2. Entries may be submitted by NAHCR members, members of the media or the general public.
  3. Entries must communicate to the general public the positive contributions by health care professionals.
  4. Media contributions must have been presented to the general public.
  5. A link to the entry must be provided.

Distinguished Member Award

The NAHCR Distinguished Member Award recognizes individual members for outstanding service to NAHCR and/or exceptional contributions to health care recruitment. 

Nominees must 
  1. Be current members of NAHCR
  2. Meet at least two of the following
    • Demonstrate active participation at the local level through chapter leadership, educational programs or other programs
    • Demonstrate active participation with NAHCR through leadership, special projects, committees or other activities
    • Be seen as a mentor and advocate and looked upon as a model representative of health care recruitment. (This can be at a local or national level or both.)
    • Be a current Certified Health Care Recruiter (CHCR)
Nomination Process:
  1. Any Active NAHCR Member in good standing may nominate candidates for the NAHCR Distinguished Member Award.
  2. Nominations must include a short statment as to the basis for the nomination, i.e., how does the nominee meet the criteria above?
  3. Previous award recipients may be nominated as long as activities for which they are being considered are separate and distinct from those for which they received the previous award.
  4. Sitting (i.e., current) NAHCR board members are not eligible.

Lifetime Achievement Award

The NAHCR Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes and honors those who have made lasting and worthwhile contributions to our industry. Winners will be honored at the NAHCR Annual Health Care Recruitment Conference. Winners are also recognized in the Directions newsletter.

Nominees must have:
  1. Maintained an active membership (in any category) in NAHCR for at least 10 years
  2. Served NAHCR as an Officer, Board Member, or Committee/Team Chair
  3. Contributed to NAHCR in ways that were significant and introduced, improved, or sustained NAHCR initiatives, programs, or mission.
Nomination Process:
  1. Any Active NAHCR Member in good standing may nominate candidates for the NAHCR Lifetime Achievement Award.
  2. Nominations must include a short statment as to the basis for the nomination, i.e., how does the nominee meet the criteria above?
